Ayappan reminds me that I haven't blogged for a long while. Thanks Ayappan, its nice to be missed.
To be away was both a conscious and unconscious decision.
At first the computer crashed; then it was the Net and now its power fluctuations. To get connected and more, to stay connected is a source of stress. On lucky days like today, it happens.
I thought maybe it was a period when I should detox from blogging and email and be more connected with the world around. And I have been doing that.
And it also got me to wonder what value I am adding to the world by recording my thoughts. It adds a certain value to my days ; some structure, some happiness. It also seems to add an unnecessary drive to certain activities just so that I could record them.
But Im sure I will be back here soon. Does introspection make one wiser? Not necessarily .
Thank everyone who calls out your faults, your anger, your impatience, your egotism -do this consciously- voluntarily.
Jean Tooman
Most of the running is done to slow down to a walking pace and there is time for lots of books, movies good and bad, friends new and old ,and thoughts that find their way in and linger and grow until they are expressed here .

Connecting
One of the biggest pleasures of blogging is connecting with people you would have never met before. People who only know the face you choose to present to the world can keep you buoyant with their comments. And pleasantly happy with a feeling of having acquired many friends.
Meeting up is a greater pleasure. New relationships are always so interesting.
This month I met three of our bloggers. Raji, at her beautifully preserved Chennai home. She is beautifully preserved too:-) And wonderful Maiji who is an example of life live to the full.
Yesterday, was GVK and his wonderfully empathetic wife. A few more friends came over to meet them and we really had a good time chatting. May it happen more often.

Unfortunately, the pic is too dark. But you can see GVK making an emphatic point.

Does everything become male or female?
This sounds like a query on a language lesson-French or Hindi where everything has a gender.
But its just a thought that rises after reading GVK's post 'Is blogger male or female?
We have glass ceilings at work- do we have to discover them in the anonymous world of blogs? I dont think we should be so competitive in every sphere.
Bloggin is fun and cathartic and lets you blow off a little steam and a little on your trumpet. Lets keep it that way.
