and a form of country sledding with home made 'vandi's or sleds.These are made with three sticks, a few ball bearings , string and enthusiasm. They come apart after a couple of rides, but the kids fix it and trudge up the hill again for that wonderful, bone shaking ride downwards till they land up laughing, breathless thrown up on a grass bank and the contraption under them comes loose again.

Kids are really ingenious !
The children seem to be enjoying their day off. We do not see such sights in our city!
These kids don't have access to the Net, to movies, to malls and even tv.. so they make up their own entertainment and spend all their free time outdoors. They enjoy life.

Maddy, heard lots. Haven't met her but can if need to.
She started off the Cinchona movement to help displaced labourers, later strted HOPE for them and now runs an organic farm. Lives in a converted cow shed which she wipes down with 'saani' everyday! What is your connection?
